Trichromatic Theory

Trichromatic theory is also called Young Helmholtz Theory named after the individuals who created it. This theory stems from the idea that the visual system is responsive to three colors.  This is supported based on the fact that mixing these three colors can create all colors we perceive (Hall, n.d.) One aspect the trichromatic theory does not explain is complementary afterimages.  This idea is explained by the                                                     (D'Mello, n.d.)
